Thank you Gary Mansell
After 10 incredible years, we say a heartfelt thank you to Gary Mansell as he steps away from his role at the Russell Martin Academy.
Gary has been there from the very beginning, helping to build the Academy alongside Russell Martin and Sergio Torres. From day one, he has played a huge part in shaping what RMA has become today.
Throughout his time with the Academy, Gary has supported and developed countless young people, helping them grow in confidence both on and off the pitch. His passion, care and commitment have made him a role model to so many, and his impact will be felt for years to come.
Russell Martin said:
“Gary has been huge in helping turn RMA and RMF into what it is today. As a coach developing players, his skill and relationships with his young players has been immense. He has also developed and been a role model to our other coaches and helped set up a coaching methodology that runs throughout RMA. He was there from day one. What we built together with Sergio all those years ago wouldn’t be what it is today without him. His commitment to the Foundation has been incredible and he should be so proud of the impact he’s had on the organisation as a whole. It’s no surprise seeing him grow and straighten a club and team at Burgess Hill Town and I wish him all the very best in all that he does. He will always be a friend to me and to RMF.”
Alan Sanders, CEO of RMF, also shared his thoughts:
“I’ve been so impressed with Gary’s attention to detail in all of the RMA football programmes he has set up in the local community. There is no doubt that his commitment towards his role as Director of Football has been key to the success we have had over recent years.”
While we are sad to see him go, we are incredibly proud to see him take the next step in his journey at Burgess Hill Town FC , a thoroughly deserved opportunity.
From everyone at RMA and RMF, thank you Gary for everything you have given over the past 10 years.
RMA will always be your home.
