Russell Martin Foundation at the 2025 PFA Awards
The Russell Martin Foundation was delighted to attend the 2025 PFA Awards, one of the most prestigious nights in the football calendar. CEO Alan Sanders and RMF Media & Comms lead, and former professional footballer, Chris Whelpdale, represented the Foundation at the event.
The awards celebrated the very best of the 2024/25 football season, with players across the Premier League and Football League recognised for their outstanding achievements. Among the highlights were the announcement of the Teams of the Year in each league, as well as the Men’s and Women’s Players of the Year, accolades voted for by the players themselves, making them particularly special.
For RMF the evening was also a chance to strengthen ties with the Professional Footballers’ Association, whose funding plays a key role in supporting several of our community programmes. These initiatives not only benefit local people but also provide valuable support for ex-professional footballers as they adjust to life after their playing careers.
Speaking after the event, Alan Sanders said:
“It was a privilege to be part of such a special night celebrating the game and its players. The PFA’s ongoing support enables us to deliver life changing projects in the community and continue our important work with former professionals.”
RMF is proud to stand alongside the PFA in using football as a force for good, both on and off the pitch.
