RMA Newman College Crowned U18 ESFA National Super Cup Champions in Penalty Shootout Thriller
The Russell Martin Academy Newman College’s U18 football team made history last week by winning the ESFA National Super Cup Final in a dramatic clash against Hartpury College at Stoke City FC’s Bet365 Stadium.
The game ended 2-2 after normal and extra time, with RMA’s goals coming from Koby Farrell and Oli Deda. The team held their nerve in a tense penalty shootout, emerging winners with a 3-2 win thanks to two crucial saves from GK Sonny Lucas.
The standout performance of the match came from Theo Maryon, who was deservedly named Player of the Match.
