Let’s Dance Eastbourne 2026
Let’s Dance Eastbourne 2026 was a truly special event, bringing together young people from across East Sussex for two unforgettable nights at the Congress Theatre.
This year’s shows on the 24th and 25th March meant even more as it was the first since the passing of founder Andy Marchant. Andy poured his heart and soul into Let’s Dance, creating opportunities for young people to perform, grow in confidence and express themselves. It was incredibly powerful to see his legacy continue in such a positive way.
The performances across both nights were amazing. It was clear how much hard work had gone in from the children, as well as the teachers and parents who supported them every step of the way. The costumes, energy and confidence on stage were brilliant to see.
What really stood out was the support in the theatre. Parents, families and friends created such a positive atmosphere, cheering on every performance. Being there on the night, it was inspiring to see so much encouragement from the crowd.
A huge thank you to all of the Let’s Dance team and volunteers who helped organise and deliver the event. It simply wouldn’t be possible without their time, dedication and hard work behind the scenes. We would also like to thank Ratton School for their support, including providing compere Will Brooke and their Young Student Leaders who volunteered backstage to guide and support performers, alongside other dedicated volunteers such as David Smith and many others who helped make the event run so smoothly.
Special thanks also go to Molly Garrood and Jo Waite, who produced the show and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring everything together.
We would like to give particular recognition to Will Brooke, who volunteered to compere both nights. From researching and writing his script to leading the show on stage, it was a huge undertaking, and he did an outstanding job throughout.
Guy Kingham helped organise the event on behalf of the Russell Martin Foundation, supporting the delivery of such a successful event.
It was great to have RMF CEO Alan Sanders there on the night, along with other members of the RMF team, as well as the Mayor of Eastbourne, Margaret Bannister, all showing their support.
We are also very grateful to the sponsors who helped make the event happen, giving young people the chance to perform on such a big stage, an opportunity they will never forget.
Alan Sanders said:
“It was an incredible event. The talent, confidence and support in the room was amazing to see. Nights like this show just how important opportunities like Let’s Dance are for young people.”
Thank you to everyone involved for making it such a success.
