Double Celebration for the Russell Martin Foundation
It’s been a great weekend for the Russell Martin Foundation, celebrating both their success at the Football Business Awards 2024 and Russell Martin’s promotion to the Premier League with Southampton FC.
On Friday 24th May the Russell Martin Foundation proudly attended the Football Business Awards 2024 at The Brewery, London. The foundation was nominated for the prestigious Best Community Scheme - Non-Premier League Club award.
In a testament to their impactful work, they received the Bronze award, marking a significant achievement for the organisation. Alan Sanders, who was present to accept the award, expressed his gratitude, stating, "This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team and the community we serve. We are honoured and motivated to continue making a positive difference through our initiatives."
We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Plymouth Argyle for winning the award in a highly competitive category, which included the 72 professional football clubs outside the Premier League.
Adding to the weekend’s achievements, Russell Martin led Southampton FC to promotion to the Premier League by winning the play-off final 1-0 against Leeds United at Wembley in his first season as manager.
