KS2 Transition

The transition from primary school to secondary school can be a challenging time for children as they adjust to new academic expectations, social dynamics, and a more independent learning environment. To help pupils navigate these changes and succeed in their academic pursuits, mentoring programs can be an effective way to provide support and guidance.
Through mentoring, pupils can receive personalised  attention and assistance in developing the skills and strategies they need to thrive in their new environment. Mentors can provide guidance in areas such as time management, organisation, and study skills, as well as emotional support to help pupils manage stress and anxiety.
Additionally, mentoring can help build children's resilience and confidence, which can be important factors in academic success. By developing a positive and supportive relationship with a mentor, pupils can feel more empowered to take on new challenges and push themselves to achieve their goals.
