Academy Courses

The Russell Martin Academy supports young people aged 4-19 years by providing development opportunities for players of all abilities and backgrounds. Through our high-quality football provision and regular contact with our positive, professional role models we aim to offer all players the opportunity of personal progression rather than results driven. Academy sessions run term time only with replacement academy days during school holidays for those evening sessions missed.

PLEASE NOTE:
New registration links for season 2024-2025 will go live from end of August.

Our Academy sessions are split into three tiers to ensure that all our players are provided with a suitable learning environment to support their improvement needs. We offer sessions for both outfield players and goalkeepers of all abilities aged U7s –U16s.

Pathway Centres – After our Saturday Soccer sessions our Pathway centres offer the foundation phase for our players learning. At these sessions’ players are taught basic skills, movement patterns and how to implement these in a game situation.

Select Squads (Invite Only) – The Select Squads sessions provide slightly more advanced players with a more structured approach to learning. These sessions are delivered by our more senior coaches who work to a pre-set syllabus to ensure that they are learning not only individual based skills but important game related topics that will improve their all-round ability on the pitch.

Professional Development Centres (Invite Only) – Our PDC sessions are the top tier we offer. These sessions are for well-equipped players that consistently perform at a high level. The PDC sessions are structured similarly to our Elite sessions with our highly qualified team working to a set syllabus. Both our PDC and Elite sessions offer players the opportunity to be monitored by our Academy Manager along with several professional club representatives.

Fixtures & Tours – RMA proud to offer our players at all levels the opportunity to be selected for our RMA representative squads who compete in various fixtures across the season against a wide range of clubs at grassroots, academy and professional levels. Further to our fixture programme we also offer players the opportunity to represent RMA on both UK and over seas tours. In2019 we are delighted to be taking 5 squads to compete in the Gothia Cup in Sweden.
